About Springtime
Springtime Travel is a family business founded in 1990 by Nils “Nisse” Lodin. However, the first trip was already made in 1986 as a reader trip with the magazine Springtime (now Runner’s World). In the following years, the number of reader trips grew and in 1990 Springtime Resor AB was founded as a separate company.
For the first 10 years or so, it was mainly trips to all the world’s major races that were on offer, which changed in 2000 when the first distinct training trip was offered.
The training travel segment developed significantly and when we opened Training Camp Portugal in 2005, the foundations were laid for what is today the modern training travel.
Springtime is today the Nordic region’s largest niche organiser of training and running trips with operations in Sweden, Norway and Denmark.
We are about 30 employees spread over the three countries with headquarters in Alvik, Stockholm.
Springtime Resor AB is part of the Springtime Group, which also publishes the running magazine Runner’s World in Sweden and Norway.
The story behind Springtime Travel
Springtime Travel was founded in 1990 by Nils “Nisse” Lodin, a pioneer of Swedish running who ran marathons in the 1960s when few others did. In 1982, after a career as a journalist, he started the magazine Springtime – today Runner’s World – and later the travel business Springtime Travel.
The company has grown from a family business to include around 30 employees in Sweden, Norway and Denmark.
Nisse passed away in 2022, but his legacy – the passion for movement, joy and discovery in running shoes – lives on in the business.

Runners’ Store was started in 2006 by experienced and qualified runners and is today the running store with Sweden’s largest range of running shoes, clothing and sports electronics. ORTOLAB
Ortolab is Sweden’s largest manufacturer of customised orthopaedic footbeds and is present throughout the country. We use advanced technology and unique materials that reinforce the foot’s natural way of stabilising and absorbing shocks.

Tobias has loved dance since childhood. Today he is one of Sweden’s most popular dance teachers.
Mustafa Mohamed
Musse is one of Sweden’s most experienced long-distance runners. He has competed in the Olympics and the World Championships and has held the Swedish record in the 3000 metre hurdles for over 15 years.
Anders Szalkai
Anders is one of Sweden’s best marathon runners of all time. He has qualifications from the Olympics, World Championships and European Championships and a victory in the Stockholm Marathon.
Cecilia Gustafsson
Cecilia is an intuitive instructor with a background in yoga, dance and functional training. Today she works mainly with Soma Move and her mentorship Holistic YEAR.
