Route of the race
Göteborgsvarvet is Sweden’s premier half marathon, covering 21.1 kilometres through Gothenburg. The start is on Margretebergsgatan, adjacent to Slottsskogen and Slottsskogsvallen, where the finish line is also located.
From the Radisson Blu Riverside Hotel in Lindholmen, you can easily reach central Gothenburg on the free ferry. The ferry journey from Stenpiren to Lindholmspiren takes around four minutes, and the hotel is only about 200 metres from the ferry terminal. From there, you can continue by public transport to the starting area at Slottsskogen.
During the race, the Göteborgsvarvet course passes through Slottsskogen, Majorna, Älvsborgsbron, Eriksberg, Lindholmen, Hisingsbron and central Gothenburg, amongst other places, before the runners head back towards the finish line at Slottsskogsvallen.
